HOUSING

When a youth exits foster care, finding a stable place to live becomes their first and often greatest challenge. We provide safe, fully furnished transitional housing with private rooms and communal spaces. Our goal is to give them more than just shelter. We give them a place to heal. A place to grow. A place to breathe.

FINANCIAL READINESS

Money management is a life-changing skill. We help our youth learn budgeting, saving, avoiding debt, and building credit. They learn how to pay bills, file taxes, and make smart financial decisions. Because financial stability brings freedom. And freedom allows dreams to take root.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Many youth exiting the foster care system do not have job experience. Through our program, youth will have job placement in our own Lotus Thrift Store, where they will gain hands-on work experience and accountability. In addition to working at the store, they will have responsibilities on the residential property, learning how to be good stewards of a home—an important step toward independent living.

LIFE SKILLS TRAINING

For youth who've grown up without consistent adult guidance, things like cooking a meal, managing time, or doing laundry can feel overwhelming. That's why we teach basic daily living skills. We also go deeper, covering topics like conflict resolution, effective communication, and job readiness.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

Many youth in foster care don't finish high school. We help them complete their diploma or earn a GED. From there, we guide them through college applications, scholarship searches, or trade programs. We will also help partner with local businesses to provide internship and job opportunities related to their field of study.

MENTORSHIP

Above all, we know true transformation starts from the inside out. That's why everything we do is rooted in the love of Christ. Each young person is matched with a mentor, someone who listens, encourages, prays, and walks with them through the highs and lows. We encourage church involvement, Bible study, and service to others through community outreach. Because we know that the world will throw many voices at them, but we want the voice of Jesus to be the loudest.
